OK. I found this Anthurium andreanum hybrid today with 2 spathes on the same spadix So naturally I had to buy it. Anyone ever encountered anything like this before?

Hello, the most probable thing is that it is an error in the nutrition, meaby by hormons, if the flowering of this form is constant could be dealed with a mutation, the anthurium is genetic unstable.
Greetings from merida, mexico.

Thanks for the information Yanick! I have spoken to my friend Alfonso also in Mexico, private collector, and Michael Pascall from Nth Queensland, who works in the industry, and they both have had the same experience with double spathes on the andreanum hybrids... _________________ Ed
